DUI LANDS MAN IN JAIL AFTER WRONG-WAY CRASH AT ROCKWOOD HARDEES

Thursday evening, Rockwood Police, Fire and EMS were called to investigate a two-car wreck at Hardee’s on North Gateway Avenue. They found 63-year-old Blair Quentin Poland lying on a sidewalk near the restaurant. He appeared to be unhurt, albeit possibly intoxicated. He was identified as the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash.

The police report indicates Poland caused the near-head on crash, exiting the Hardee’s lot the wrong way and striking a vehicle that was turning off Winchester Street into the lot. Poland was charged with driving under the influence. The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.
