TWO MORE EARTHQUAKES STRIKE OAK RIDGE, KNOX COUNTY

Two small earthquakes struck East Tennessee again Thursday, a day after a 4.4 magnitude quake struck Meigs County. The first was 1.5 magnitude reported around 10:20 AM just southwest of the former K-25 site, where uranium was enriched for use in the manufacture of the atomic bombs in the Manhattan project. The second quake, measuring 2.7, happened at 1:26 PM near Blaine in Knox County.
