CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETS TUESDAY WITH NEW MEMBERS

The Crossville City Council will hold its monthly work session on Tuesday, Dec. 4. This will be the first meeting including new council members Rob Harrison and Art Gernt. Items on the agenda include a look at a resolution adopting social media policy, discussion on the Chestnut Hill Landfill Industrial Property Sewer Extension and approval of a bid for the destruction of the old Inn of the Cumberlands property. The council will address the low bid of $88,000 submitted by Adkins Demolition out of Knoxville. 10 Additional companies have put in a bid to tear down the old property located on Highway 70 West. The old inn was closed down two years ago after being condemned. The meeting will begin at 5 PM in the third-floor conference room. In other council news…New members Rob Harrison and Art Gernt were sworn into office Monday afternoon. Council Chair James Mayberry was also re-sworn in as Crossville City Mayor.
