Putnam County Deputies are looking for a man wanted for a shooting and assault. A 26-year-old White County man was shot at a residence on Bunker Hill Road at the Putnam County line at 10 PM Friday night. The victim is recuperating at Vanderbilt Medical Center. The suspect had left the scene before police arrived. During the incident, authorities say a 31-year-old female and a 31-year-old male were assaulted. They have non-life threatening injuries. The suspect in the case is identified as 38-year-old Avert Lee Johnson. He also goes by the name of “Kojak.” Johnson has a lengthy criminal history and is reportedly affiliated with the Aryan Brotherhood. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
