SEMI TRAILER CRASH ON I-40 SNARLS RUSH-HOUR TRAFFIC

A semi-trailer ran off Interstate 40 in Cumberland County earlier this morning, snarling traffic during the morning rush.

The incident occurred in the vicinity of mile marker 337 eastbound at 7:10 Central Time, with the truck ending up in a wooded area off the side of the roadway. The truck is a U.S. Mail transport vehicle.

The right lane of I-40 Eastbound is blocked. Westbound traffic is not affected.

The scene is estimated to be cleared by 1 p.m. Central Time.
