HOMEOWNER SUSTAINS MINOR INJURIES AFTER HOUSE EXPLODES

A homeowner was injured when a house exploded on Hidden Hills Drive yesterday in Anderson County. Authorities say the person, who was not identified by officers, was lighting a gas insert which caused the explosion. The homeowner, believed to be an elderly man, was taken to a hospital for minor injuries. The house sustained significant damage. The explosion was felt from as far away as three miles. The case is still under investigation.
