10-YEAR-OLD GIRL SHOT BY BROTHER DIES FROM INJURIES

A 10-year-old girl who was shot in the head by her twin brother in Lawrence County, Tennessee Sunday has died from her injuries.

Officers say the shooting happened around 3 p.m. in the parking lot of a Dollar Store in St. Joseph.

The twins were in a vehicle when Kaliegh Shea Pennington, of Loretto, was accidentally shot in the head by her twin brother. The firearm was in the truck and the boy got ahold of it.

Kaliegh was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died yesterday morning.

Police are investigating and no charges have been filed yet in the case.

Kaliegh attended South Lawrence Elementary School.
