A Rockwood man stands accused of several charges after allegedly holding a gun to a woman’s head in a disturbance this week. The victim told officers that 33-year-old Daniel Frank Close threatened to kill her and threw her to the floor several times, once with her child in her arms. Close supposedly struck the victim in the head with a firearm. Close had to be tased by an officer after he caused damage to a police car. He also apparently struck one officer. Close was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, manufacture, sale and delivery of meth, aggravated child abuse, and two counts of reckless endangerment. Close was taken to the Roane County jail and initially placed under no bond.
