TWO ARRESTED ON METH CHARGE AFTER TRAFFIC STOP

A Cumberland County deputy saw a driver of a vehicle on Russell Road this week and knew the man had a suspended license. An officer caught up to and pulled over 33-year-old Wesley Vance Sherrill on West Creston Road. Sherrill reportedly told authorities he had meth in his residence. Officers went there and supposedly found three bags of meth. Sherrill was arrested for possession of a Schedule 2 drug for resale. Deputies also took 28-year-old Whitney Nicole Robbins into custody during the traffic stop on a meth charge.
