DESTRUCTION OF CONDEMNED INN OF THE CUMBERLANDS HOLDING ON STUDIES

The City of Crossville will request bids soon for the destruction of the condemned Inn of the Cumberlands once two studies are completed. One is for asbestos removal and the other is regards to the proper clearing of a meth lab discovered in one the rooms prior to it being shut down. The once lavish hotel built to attract tourists degraded over the years into a place that police were called to regularly. Police arrested 6 people in separate incidents for trespassing in the structure in the past few months. Citizens are not allowed on the property and will be prosecuted if caught on the premises.
