CAUSE OF DEATH BEING DETERMINED FOR FORMER RHEA CO. H.S. RUNNING BACK

Authorities in Rhea County are looking into the cause of death of one of the most awarded running backs in Rhea County High School football history. The body of Joe Oggs was found in a field near his parents home on Gillespie Road in Spring City. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. Oggs graduated from Rhea County High in 1992 after achieving many awards and player of the week honors. He played college football at Tennessee Tech from 1993 to 1995.
