A study ranked Tennessee among the top 10 states with the most registered sex offenders per capita.
The Culture Cheat Sheet analyzed data released by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in May which shows the total number of sex offenders registered in the United States, WIBW reports. With the data, they compiled the top 15 states with the most sex offenders.

According to the map, Tennessee ranks at number 9. In Tennessee, per the report, there are 344 sex offenders registered for every 100,000 people.
The report also says that there are 22,856 sex offenders registered in Tennessee in total.
Oregon tops the list with 676 registered sex offenders per 100,000 people, and Minnesota rounds out the bottom with 319 sex offenders per 100,000 people.
