CITY COUNCIL CONSIDERS SURVEY REGARIDNG AIRPORT OBSTRUCTION CLEARING

The Crossville City Council will consider soon approving a survey to be conducted to identify trees that have grown into the glide slope next to runway at the airport. The survey would cost $17,000. The slope is an imaginary line that travels from the end of the runway upwards to the aircraft that is about to land. The current glide slope at the Crossville Memorial Airport is 20 to 1. The council will consider the survey request this Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at city hall. (In the picture below, the red zones at each end of the runway is the glide slope)
