REGIONAL PLANT ACCIDENT RESULTS IN ONE DEAD

Putnam County authorities say a man died after an industrial plant accident yesterday. Dewey Mayberry, age 65, was killed after a cap came loose from a highly pressurized tank and hit Mayberry in the chest at M&E Industries Inc. Mayberry was taken to Cookeville Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Tennessee OSHA has an investigator headed to the plant to investigate what led to the accident.
