///
Comments are Off

The Roane County School System has entered into an agreement with Interquest Detection Canines, Inc. to provide trained detection dogs to conduct random, unannounced inspections of all school campus in the county. The non-aggressive canines are trained to detect the presence of illicit drugs, prescription pills, alcohol, and firearms. Campus buildings, parking lots, and grounds will be randomly inspected for prohibited items. If detected and found, legal action will be taken. With a dramatic increase in teenage drug use and school shootings, the county is taking every precaution to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for all.
