BREAKING NEWS – Crossville Police Chief David Beaty was dismissed from his duties today by City Manager Greg Wood. Wood told 105.7 News that Beaty has served the city with honor and pride but it was time for Crossville to move in a new direction. Beaty was chief of police in Crossville for 19 years, from 1996 until he took an early retirement from the position in January of 2015. Beaty returned as chief in early 2017 to today.

Wood intends to name Captain Chris Kendrick as the interim chief of police until a permanent one can be hired.
