Showers and thunderstorms will become even more likely Wednesday and Thursday as a front moves into the area and may stall out. When we can catch enough clearing in the night sky, there are four planets visible now. About an hour after Sunset you can see Venus in the Western sky and Jupiter to the Southwest with Venus and Mars to the South and Southeast. The national high temperature Sunday 117 at Death Valley California and the low 25 at Bodie State Park California. It is interesting looking back at the rainfall for July in East Tennessee. 9 and a half inches fell in Farragut with 9 inches in southern Cumberland County, 8 inches near Harriman.
