CUMBERLAND COUNTY FIREFIGHTER PASSES AWAY IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT

The Cumberland County Fire Department is mourning the loss of one of their own. Thirty-three-year-old James Gayheart passed away in a motorcycle accident around 1 a.m. this morning just inside Putnam County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says Gayheart was riding a 2017 Harley Davidson on Glade Creek Road near Zizka Drive when he reportedly passed a vehicle in a curve, lost control, ran off the road and crashed. Gayheart served the Cumberland County Fire Department with honor and pride. He will be missed by the fire department and all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Monica, as well as three sons and one daughter.
