EARLY VOTING CONTINUES FOR AUGUST 2 GENERAL ELECTION

Early voting continues for the August 2 general election. As of 3 p.m. Central today, 2,579 people had voted in Cumberland County with 2,111 cast on the Republican side and 453 for Democrats. In Roane County, 2,883 have voted, with 711 for Democrats and 2,055 for Republicans. In Rhea County, 2,112 votes have been cast – 1,590 being Republicans and 413 Democrats. Fentress County has seen 1,604 early votes, with 1,050 Republican and 413 Democrats and in Pickett County, 369 early voters have made their choice so far, 209 Republicans and 100 Democrats. The last day for early voting is July 28.
