Cumberland County Finance Director Nathan Brock presented monthly figures for county EMS and sales-tax collections during Monday’s County Commission meeting. Over an 11-month period, sales-tax collections amounted to $8,346,048 – lagging approximately $20,000 behind projections. Figures for July should be available by the end of this week. The total budgeted sales-tax amount for fiscal year 2017-2018 is $9,150,235.
EMS revenue came in at $4,414,302 for fiscal year 2017-2018, against a $3.9 million budget.
Figures for all other accounts are incomplete; the department is in the closing of the fiscal year and final numbers are still being collected.
