At last evening’s monthly meeting, the Cumberland County Commission unanimously accepted the Cumberland County Hazard Mitigation Plan. Designed to provide a means to develop actions that would ease risks to people and property in the event of natural hazards, the plan had previously been approved by the Tennessee and the Federal Emergency Management agencies. Its local maintenance coordination has been assigned to the Crossville/Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency.
