71-YEAR-OLD BRUTALLY ATTACKED BY PIT BULL IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

A Cumberland County man sustained significant injuries after a brutal attack by a pit bull last Friday. The incident report states the 71-year-old male victim was working as a pizza delivery man when he went to a wrong address on Deathridge Road. (only a couple of houses separated the actual address of the delivery from this one) He said there were no markings of what number house it was. When he approached the front of the home, the 150 pound dog (weight according to incident report) came out the open door and attacked him. The homeowner reportedly told him the animal could not be controlled. The victim was able to get free after a three-minute battle and get back into his vehicle. The owner of the dog stated, “They’ll definitely put the dog down now.” He was taken by ambulance to Cumberland Medical Center for emergency surgery, where numerous stitches were applied to his right arm and three staples to his head.

  1. I hope he sues their socks off..and their landlord, and the County for not protecting the public from a KNOWN menace of pit bulls being unrestrained !

  2. Nichole

I hope who ever posted this blaming the pit bread done there home work. I raised alot of pitbulls and never once seen on weight 150 pounds. Sounds more like a bull massive to me.. I would hate for a breed of dog to be blamed for another breed attack.
