Last night, the Crossville City Council recommended a one-year contract extension for City Manager Greg Wood. Mayor James Mayberry and Mayor Pro Tem J.H. Graham III said Wood is doing a great job for the city and the one year extension would allow a potential new council after the upcoming election to evaluate Wood. The current contract for Wood expires in March 2019. If formally approved by the city council at its regular meeting next week, the new contract would take him to March of 2020.
