A suspect in a shooting at the main Knoxville post office has been taken into custody. Larry Steven Covington, 39, was arrested off Millard Beets Road in West Knoxville late last night. Deputies found him hiding in the crawl space of a house. Covington was taken to UT Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound. Covington was the only one reported injured.

The incident started when U.S. Marshals were at the post office on Weisgarber Road around 4 p.m. to take Covington into custody. Covington reportedly failed to turn himself in after being sentenced back in April to 46 months in federal prison on tax fraud.
