A dog is credited for saving the life of a Cumberland County woman this morning in a house blaze. Firefighters were called to the residence just off Highway 127 on Old Highway 28 to find the structure fully involved. The sole occupant told crews her dog woke her up to see fire all around. She grabbed her dog and what she could and got out of the structure. The home was destroyed and the American Red Cross was called to assist her in a place to stay. A cause of the fire is unknown.
