Deputies responded recently to two Cumberland County residences late last week for separate aggravated burglaries. In the first, a resident of a Willard Brown Road home reported three pairs of footwear – valued at approximately $330 – stolen. Deputies have identified two possible suspects, who helped the resident move in earlier in the week and knew he would be out of town.
In the second incident, deputies were called to a Coal Creek Road residence, where someone reportedly stole a clear-plastic tote bag from a bathroom. The bag contained the woman’s Social Security card, medical card and other items (valued at over $900 ). There was no sign of forced entry and the resident believes the bag may have been stolen while she was mowing her lawn.
