Cumberland County investigators are looking into an attempted theft that was stopped by a dog. A Bluebird Road resident woke up to the sound of his dog barking to go outside and saw an unknown man attempting to remove a temporary registration tag from his vehicle. The aggressor left the scene in a ‘90s model dark-blue or black Toyota pickup with a North Carolina plate.
