The 26th Annual “Stamp Out Hunger” post office food drive held earlier this month was a success. Officials said yesterday, volunteers of the Crossville post office collected 18,718 pounds of food in Cumberland County on Saturday, May 12. Eight local food pantries are now better prepared to serve their communities from the donations. The program was held nationwide and was the largest single-day collection of food-pantry donations in the United States.
