POLICE RELEASE REPORT OF ACCIDENT IN CROSSVILLE CITY CEMETERY

A Crossville man was cited following an accident that resulted in headstones being damaged in the city cemetery. Police say a 2007 Honda CRV driven by 54-year-old Johnny Abner of Crossville was traveling on Cook Road when he lost control in a curve, left the road and struck several grave site headstones. Officers say no presence of alcohol or drug use was detected. Abner was not injured in the accident. Police state Abner could not show proof of insurance and was issued a citation for driving without insurance.

STORY UPDATE (7:15 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2018) – We have learned that Mr. Abner was able to provide proof of insurance after the accident and the insurance is covering repairs
