Roane County deputies went to a residence in Kingston yesterday to serve an order of protection. Officers made contact with two men at the residence. While serving the order, an officer detected the odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the home. Officers obtained a search warrant for the residence. A search reportedly revealed a marijuana grow operation. A multitude of plants, marijuana grow equipment, drug paraphernalia, packaged illegal narcotics and a firearm were recovered. Officers estimate the street value of all the narcotics recovered to be valued around $60,000. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
