BOND HEARING SET FOR MAN CHARGED WITH CUMBERLAND COUNTY MURDER

A man charged with the murder of a Cumberland County man is scheduled to appear for a bond hearing today in criminal court. Officers say 47-year-old Billy Joe Wannyn of Spencer is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated robbery in the death of 71-year-old Albin Buechel. Buechel’s body was discovered at his home on Seagraves Road in Pleasant Hill. He had reportedly sustained several stab wounds. Wannyn’s initial bond at the time of his arrest was set at $1.5 million.
