A two-vehicle head-on accident in Cumberland County this afternoon resulted in three injuries. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2006 Ford Taurus driven by 77-year-old Katherine McFarland of Crossville and a 1998 Dodge Dakota pickup operated by 29-year-old James Eber of Sparta collided at the 12,000 block of Highway 70 West, just west of Pleasant Hill. Both drivers, as well as a passenger in the Taurus, 78-year-old William McFarland of Crossville, sustained injuries in the crash. A landing zone for Lifeforce was set up at the football field at Pleasant Hill School to transport at least one patient to an area trauma center. Troopers say all three were properly restrained at the time of impact.
