Raymond Edward “Eddie” Cooper, age 77, of Rockwood, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Ft. Sanders Medical Center. Eddie was a retired Sergeant with the Harriman Police Department and had also served as a Police Officer with the Rockwood Police Department and as a Deputy Sheriff with the Roane County Sheriff’s Office. He was also a Security Officer with Jerry Duncan Ford in Harriman and was a former Hospital Security Officer with the Rockwood Police Department at the former Chamberlain Memorial Hospital and with the Harriman Police Department at the Harriman City Hospital and the Roane Medical Center. Survivors Include his wife: Malvery of Rockwood; daughters: Tammy Miller, Kimberly Andrews (Joey), Lola Diane Waldo, and Sonya Campbell (Anthony); sons: Ray Cooper (Jeannie) and Johnny Cooper (Hope); grandchildren: Josh Cooper (Kimberly), Garren Waldo, Hunter Campbell (Sheridan), Blake Miller (Alex), Jonathan Andrews, Ryan Miller, Logan Miller, Jacob Andrews, Holly Campbell, Justin Cooper, and Jared Cooper; great-grandchildren: Annalese, Braylee, and Jackson; several brothers and sisters and spouses: Jerry Cooper, Terry Cooper, Clyde Cooper, Kendell Cooper, Dwayne “Possum” Cooper, Mildred Wright, and Margaret Fugate; an abundance of nieces, nephews, and cousins; amd friends: Joe Cates, Tom Gamble, Donald Cook, and numerous others. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral service will follow. Graveside and interment service will be held Monday, May 7, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood.
