A Blount County woman is facing several charges following a high-speed chase with authorities yesterday. Officers say 31-year-old Chariety R. Pryor was reportedly driving a 2000 Ford F350 that was reported stolen in Alcoa earlier in the day. Vonore police tried to stop Pryor but she reportedly engaged them in pursuit. The chase entered Loudon County where Pryor lost control of the vehicle and drove into a ditch in the 700 block of Thompson Bridge Road. A Loudon County deputy fired rounds at the truck as Pryor drove out of the ditch and struck the patrol vehicle. She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and felony evading arrest. Pryor also faced additional charges.
