TRAIN HITS VEHICLE IN ANDERSON COUNTY, ONE CRITICALLY INJURED

A motorist was hurt after his car was struck by a train last night on Old Lake City Highway in Anderson County. Troopers say the driver of a Jeep Commander, a resident of Clinton, was crossing the railroad tracks when the vehicle was hit. The driver was transported to UT Medical Center and was initially listed in critical condition. The name of the driver was not released by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The train was carrying 110 empty rail cars.
