For the past 25 years, the Teens Against Drugs Center (TAD Center) in Crossville has offered a free eight-week summer program for youths. The program includes educational and recreational activities, a weekly bus trip, guest speakers and much more. Each child receives a T-shirt for field trips, along with free lunches and snacks. Last year, 100 children enrolled in the program, which employed seven local teenagers. In addition to the summer program, the TAD Center serves 1,450 county students in monthly school-based programs; 125 students per week participate in the after-school program and 1,000 high-school juniors and seniors take part in the annual Prom Promise.
To continue to offer the highly successful community program, the TAD Center needs your help. Their goal is to raise $5,000 to offset a portion of the costs not covered by agency and club donations and funds received from facility rentals. Sponsorships start at $35. The TAD Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and your contribution may be tax deductible.
Sponsorship levels are as follows:
$35 – bus sponsor
$75 – T-shirt sponsor
$100 – child sponsor
$200 – bus, shirt and child sponsor
