At last night’s school building projects committee meeting, members reviewed four bids to renovate the football field at Cumberland County High School. Members voted to accept the lowest bid of $435,000 from Wilson Construction Group, LLC in Athens, Tennessee. It will also include the installation of larger water drain pipes to better prevent ponding on the football field. The bid now goes to the county finance committee for their consideration. If accepted, the work is expected to be completed by the start of the football season.
