EARLY MORNING VEHICLE ACCIDENT KILLS TWO IN MCMINN COUNTY

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says two people died in a vehicle accident in McMinn County early this morning. Troopers say the crash happened just before 3 a.m. on Highway 411 North in Etowah. Initial reports indicate McMinn County deputies were first on the scene and said a 2003 Buick Regal and 1985 GMC S15 collided head-on and both caught fire. Crews found two dead on arrival. There were no other reported injuries. The names of those involved were withheld pending notification of next of kin.
