The National Weather Service confirmed today a second tornado touched down in southeast McMinn County earlier this month when a line of storms moved through. Officials say an EF-0 tornado with winds up to 85 miles per hour touched down near Ridgewood Golf Club. The tornado was about 100 yards wide and stayed on the ground for nearly half a mile. The same day, another EF-0 tornado hit Monroe County off Highway 68 near Tellico Plains.
