The Tennessee Highway Patrol today released the identity of a man who died in a vehicle accident yesterday in Roane County. Troopers say a 2006 Mazda driven by 26-year-old Rebecca L. Vanassee of Oak Ridge was traveling on Poplar Creek Road near Mountain View Lane when she lost control and left the road. The vehicle went down an embankment and into Poplar Creek where it became fully submerged. Vanassee and a passenger in the vehicle, 26-year-old Ethan James Alexander Wilson of Lake City, were injured. Another passenger, 50-year-old Warner D. Martin of Lake City, died. Troopers say all three were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash; criminal charges are pending.
