The Roane County Sheriff’s Office is happy to announce the addition of a new K9 deputy. The K9 will be used for community outreach in nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living, as well as schools. He may also be used in other places as needed. He is a two month old German Standard Schnauzer. This bread is known for its intelligence, loyalty, bravery and love for people. The sheriff’s department is requesting citizens to help name him. The department is expecting his arrival to the sheriff’s office the first week in April. The choices for his name include Rōcō, Rook, Zeek or Hans.
