COOKEVILLE MAN INJURED AFTER BEING HIT BY VEHICLE

Cookeville police are investigating a pedestrian versus a vehicle accident yesterday that left a man critically injured. Officers say 65-year-old Ad E. Landers was walking southbound on North Washington Avenue when he was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet driven by 27-year old Joshua Phann of Cookeville. The truck was making a left turn off of Washington Avenue onto East Broad Street when Landers was hit. Landers was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of injuries sustained.
