The White County Sheriff’s Dept. and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are looking into the discovery of a body in the Mt. Vernon Subdivision. The TBI says that, following up on a request from 13th Judicial District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway, agents were called to a home on Washington Avenue on March 8 to investigate the report of a male body that had been found by deputies performing a welfare check at the address. White County Authorities said that they had been notified earlier that the subject, later identified as 50-year-old Timothy Jordi, had failed to arrive at work and could not be contacted by phone. The TBI says that an autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing and, according to DA Dunaway, more information will be forthcoming.
