A Crossville woman is facing drug charges related to marijuana after a traffic stop. According to the report, an officer spotted the driver of a black Chevy Sonic traveling at a high rate of speed through a school zone on Miller Ave. during the hours of 7-8 AM on Tuesday morning. Officers say the driver of the Sonic finally pulled over in to the parking lot of Jan’s Wine and Liquor and stopped. 19-year-old Emily Elizabeth Elmore reportedly exited the vehicle before she could be stopped and allegedly told officers that she “just smoked.” A marijuana blunt could be seen lying on the front seat. Elmore was handcuffed and officers proceeded to find two bags containing marijuana, a grinder, and cigar packages. The items were confiscated and Elmore was charged with manufacture/delivery/sale of a controlled substance.
