THEATERS GEARING UP FOR PROJECTED BOX OFFICE HITS TO BE RELEASED

The Rocky Top 10 in Crossville and other theaters in the listening area are gearing up for a series of projected box office hits to be released starting this Friday. Here is a look at the major movie releases in the next three months:

February 16, 2018 – BLACK PANTHER – The next Marvel movie that critics are saying is the best of the Marvel movies. After the death of his father, T’Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy suddenly reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king and as Black Panther gets tested when he’s drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda in jeopardy.

February 16, 2018 – SAMSON – When his youthful ambition leads to a tragic marriage, the all-powerful Samson embarks on a quest for vengeance that brings him into direct conflict with the Philistine army. As his brother mounts a tribal rebellion, Samson’s relationship with a Philistine temptress and his final surrender to God will help turn imprisonment into a final victory.

March 2, 2018 – DEATH WISH – A remake of the classic Charles Bronson franchise. This time Bruce Willis plays the lead as a man looking for revenge when tragedy striked his family.

March 9, 2018 – A WRINKLE IN TIME – Meg Murry and her little brother, Charles Wallace, have been without their scientist father, Mr. Murry, for five years, ever since he discovered a new planet and used the concept known as a tesseract to travel there. Joined by Meg’s classmate Calvin O’Keefe and guided by the three mysterious astral travelers known as Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Which, the children brave a dangerous journey to a planet that possesses all of the evil in the universe.

March 16, 2018 – I CAN ONLY IMAGINE – Based on the incredible true-life story that inspired the beloved, chart-topping song, I Can Only Imagine is a song that brings ultimate hope to so many often in the midst of life’s most challenging moments. Amazingly, the song was written in mere minutes by MercyMe lead singer Bart Millard. In reality, those lyrics took a lifetime to craft. Rocky Top 10 in Crossville confirms they will have “I Can Only Imagine” the day it is released.

April 20, 2018 – RAMPAGE – Primatologist Davis Okoye (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) shares an unshakable bond with George, an extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla that’s been in his care since birth. When a rogue genetic experiment goes wrong, it causes George, a wolf and a reptile to grow to a monstrous size. As the mutated beasts embark on a path of destruction, Okoye teams up with a discredited genetic engineer and the military to secure an antidote and prevent a global catastrophe. May 4, 2018 – AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR – The much anticipated Marvel movie comes to the screen in the next installment of the Avengers. Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.

May 18, 2018 – DEADPOOL 2 – The “Merc with a mouth” is back in the sequel to the smash hit.

May 25, 2018 – SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY – This movie will take you back before the original Star Wars movie. Through a series of daring escapades, young Han Solo meets his future co-pilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian.
