HIGHWAY 61 AND 62 ROAD PROJECTS BEING CONSIDERED

///

As Roane and Morgan County has seen its share of road construction projects, a push for the widening of Highway 61 between Harriman and Oliver Springs is on deck. Officials say thousands of motorists drive that stretch each day and they would like to see the road turned into a four lane. There is also hope for those wishing to see Highway 62 widened from near Petit Lane in Morgan County to Highway 61 in Oliver Springs. The 10.5 mile stretch is on the list of projects in the early stages of development from the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
