WOMAN REPORTEDLY TRIES TO SMUGGLE METH IN HER PRIVATE AREA INTO JAIL

Cumberland County deputies recently pulled over a vehicle occupied by 29-year-old Donna Kay Simpson of Crossville on Lantana Road for a traffic violation. Soon after, a K-9 officer alerted the deputy to the possible presence of drugs. A search reportedly revealed a bag of meth. Simpson was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County jail where according to the arrest report, a strip search allegedly revealed another bag of meth hidden in her front private area. She was charged with the manufacture, sale and delivery of drugs and introducing drugs into a penal institution.
