Authorities in Rutherford County say that Whitwell Elementary, Middle and High Schools went on lockdown Monday morning after a report of a robbery suspect being in the area. Officials say the lockdown is in connection with an armed robbery which took place at the Almaville Market Friday night. The suspects were identified as 42-year-old Dewayne Halfacre and 52-year-old Timothy “Timbo” Howell. They are accused of holding up two clerks at gunpoint. Howell was arrested over the weekend, but the search continued for Halfacre, who was reportedly seen in the Whitwell area Monday morning. Halfacre is considered armed and dangerous.
