2 PEOPLE CHARGED IN TRAFFIC STOP IN CROSSVILLE

Two people were placed under arrest during a traffic stop in Crossville Thursday. A traffic stop was initiated on a 1999 Nissan passenger car on Central Ave driven by 33-year-old Karen B. Dilbeck. Officers said that Dilbeck was failing to maintain the proper lane. A computer check revealed that Dilbeck was driving on a revoked license. Officers also talked to three other occupants in the vehicle, and a consent search of Fred Issac Three revealed a bag with meth residue and a number of .40 pistol shells. A consent search of the vehicle turned up a 9mm Firestar Plus handgun to which another passenger, Diane Norris, claimed ownership. A lockbox containing filter screens, several syringes, and one loaded syringe was found. A green camo breakdown pellet gun was found in the trunk. A computer check revealed that Threet had a local outstanding warrant and a warrant out of Putnam County. He was taken into custody along with Dilbeck, who was charged with, among other things, driving on a revoked license and reckless driving. The investigation is continuing.
