FIRE BREAKS OUT IN BASEMENT OF LOWE ROAD RESIDENCE

The Cumberland County Fire Dept. was called to a structure fire shortly after 8:30 Thursday night. Assistant Fire Chief John Hall told 1057 News that crews were called to 234 Lowe Road where a fire had broken out in the home’s basement. A male occupant of the home escaped with no injuries. Assistant Chief Hall stated that the house was a total loss estimated at $80,000. 7 Units and 22 firefighters responded to the scene. Crews had to return to the scene a few hours later when the fire re-kindled in an area of the attic.
